A hail estimate the adjuster took note of

The call: a customer had us out for a hail estimate.

What we did: Nathan provided the estimate, along with the knowledge and advice that came with it.

We had Nathan out for a hail estimate and the service was nothing short of remarkable. The estimate he provided, along with his knowledge and advice, was so thorough that even my insurance adjuster took note. I highly recommend W Contracting for all your roofing needs!

Who shows up

Nathan and the crew

Nathan Washington founded W Contracting. He had been a roofer since the age of 15 and saw how careless and dangerous some crews could be in what should be a straightforward trade.

W Contracting was built to change that. We have zero tolerance for any dangerous or unsafe activity on a job site, and the whole business is built on simplifying the roofing process.

Clear communication so you are never confused about what is happening. Clean job sites, with tarps and dropsheets down to catch every nail and offcut.

FAQs

Roofing questions we get asked most

How long will my project take?
Most roofing jobs take one day. By the time the job is booked, we complete the project within a month.
How much will my project cost?
For a 2,000 sq ft roof replacement the range is usually $7,000-$10,000. The price moves with product choice, slope, and the facets of the roof. For an exact number, fill in a contact form or schedule a quote with Nathan.
How long will my roof last?
Depending on the product, anywhere from 20 to 50 years. Since we stand behind our workmanship, we provide a 10-year guarantee and will come back to maintain or fix any issues within the first 10 years of installation.
Do you do financing?
Yes, we offer financing through Financeit. We can walk you through the application and get competitive rates with a typical line of credit.
What should I expect on the day the job starts?
A day or two before, we load the shingles and materials onto your roof and park the dump trailer on your driveway so old shingles drop straight into the bin. The crew arrives at 7am, sets up tarps and dropsheets to catch any nails or debris, then begins stripping the old materials. We inspect the decking for rot, install new drip edge, lay ice and water shield along the eaves to prevent ice damming, add full underlayment, then shingle.
How do I know which roofing company to go with?
The most important element is trust. W Contracting prioritizes communication so you are never confused about what is going on, transparency in every part of our business, and honesty as a core value enforced on every job.
Do you take on "out-of-town" projects?
Yes, we quote any project within two hours of Saskatoon. We complete a large portion of work in Martensville and Warman, and we take on a fair number of acreage and farm projects.
Do I need to replace my eavestroughs when I do my roof?
Not always. Eavestroughs are built to last roughly twice as long as your shingles. To be sure of their condition, request an eavestrough inspection from your estimator at W Contracting.
